Sewing Matching Outfitts

Mandy found this really cute and easy pattern for making skirts, so we decided to try to make matching skirts for the girls. It was lots of fun :)

Mandy brought her sewing machine over to my house and we set up shop in the kitchen.


Here was our starting fabric and the inspiration for our skirts

We decided to make matching shirts, although we did not sew the shirts, just add accents to them :)

What I did not get was a picture of the girls in their matching outfits! I will try to add that later!

Zoo time fun!

When the weather was a little warmer we decided to go for a trip to our local zoo. Elizabeth is still a little young, but we thought she would enjoy looking at the animals :)

Before we left, Daddy read Elizabeth some stories about animals.

"oooooo"




they bounce and bounce and bounce and bounce and when you get tired of the bouncing they will... bounce!

We spent the longest amount of time at the petting zoo. Elizabeth seemed to really like it! Sometimes she wanted to almost jump in, and other times she shied away, but she was fascinated the whole time

We fed the goats some special food the zoo offered. I tried to get Elizabeth to put some in her hand, but she was content just to watch

She made this face alot while we were there. She is going "oooo" and pointing to the animals!

Micah and Maddie enjoyed the animals too!

There were the most enormous turtles at the zoo!


We had lots of fun!

One Year Pictures

My baby is a year old! These pictures were taken on September 13th, by Stephanie Austin. She does such a good job! Elizabeth was not interested in posing at all! She barely looked at the camera, and was constantly moving. That's my little explorer!

She was timid about getting into the cake
