You are my Sunshine...

I am thinking about using You are My Sunshine as the theme for Elizabeth's first birthday party. We sing it to her all the time!

Still formulating ideas though... hmmmmmmm

Park Treasures

We went to the park yesterday and had such a good time! We are really enjoying the weather, and trying to get out everyday.

There was a big purple dinosaur made for kids to climb on. I was surprised that my little explorer had very little interest, and did not even try to climb it!



She had the most fun playing by a bench! lol

She started collecting "treasures" and making a pile of them on the bench! My keys were the started item in the treasure trove!

First time coloring!

Elizabeth had fun playing with a crayon and coloring sheet yesterday! She had no idea what to do with it- but she had fun. She only tried to eat the crayon a couple times, and mostly just waved the paper around, but she had a lot of fun!

She did not know what to do with it!

She liked to crinkle the paper and hold it on top of her head :)

First time down the slide!

Our brave girl climbed right to the top of the slide!


And went down all on her own!

Playing Outside!

We went outside to play today with the Fletchers - it was such a pretty day outside!

Of course the first thing Elizabeth does is climb to the top of the picnic table!

Wrestling with Sammy

Elizabeth loves to pull down the pillows off the couch and "wrestle" or roll around ontop of the pillows. Sammy was sitting on the floor and Elizabeth kept rolling into him - it was so cute! :) Sammy was such a good boy and was super gentle with Elizabeth. She had a ton of fun and was giggling non-stop!

Outside Play

Even though the weather is hot, we still try to get outside to play a little each day. Elizabeth is quite the explorer and loves to crawl, climb, and pick up everything!

She knows the sunglasses are supposed to go on her face, she is just not sure how to get them on!

First Buggy Ride

Our church has these 6 child stroller like things which are made for the younger kids (Toddler age) to ride in. The other day Elizabeth had her first ride (She loved it!!)

I can't believe she is big enough to ride in them now! My baby is growing too fast!! *sniff*

Big Girl Toothbrush

With the arrival of her third tooth, we graduated Elizabeth up to a real, big girl toothbrush (instead of just using a washcloth to clean her gums). She loves getting to go in the bathroom and brush her teeth (although she gets very impatient while we are brushing her teeth! lol)

When she first saw the brush she thought it was for her hair! hehe

She likes to chew more than brush...

KidStreet Wall of Fame!

The children's department at our church is called KidStreet. They have a wall where they put up either pictures or seasonal decorations. They recently took some pictures of some of the kids and Elizabeth has a BIG picture on the wall! (They blow the pictures up) She is famous! (well sort-of hehe)

New Car Seat!

Our New Car Seat came! MyRide 65! I am so excited! This is a convertible car seat so it will work both rear and forward acing, but the nice thing about this seat is that it can remain rear facing for longer than many other car seats. (which is much safer for baby girl!) hmmm... I wonder if they create a seat that will keep her safe when she starts driving at 16....
